Pourable Fondant Recipe

Here is a pourable fondant recipe I’ve been using.  I like to tweak the flavorings until I get them the way I like them.  So, play around.

3 cups confectioners’ sugar
1/4 cup water
1 tablespoon light corn syrup

1/2 teaspoon almond extract

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract (clear if you want a pure white color)

1.  Mix all of the ingredients in a saucepan over low heat and cook until it reaches 100 degrees F (it really does not take long, maybe around 3 minutes).

2.  Add color if you want.

3.  Keep the bowl of fondant over another bowl of warm to hot water to keep it the right consistency while working with it.
